Suicide Prevention

If you, or someone you know, are in crisis and are thinking about or planning suicide please reach out to at 973-655-5211 during regular University business hours.

In case of psychiatric emergency after hours, call at 973-655-5222 OR speak to a counselor after hours by calling at 973-655-5211 and select Option “2”. These services are available to all students 24/7.

Any community member is able to submit a report to the CARE Team if they are concerned about the behavior of a student. Reports can be sent directly to a member of the CARE Team, via a  and/or by emailing CARETeam@montclair.edu. Please note this is not for emergencies – for urgent issues, please call University Police at 973-655-5222.
